Oscar nominees Viola Davis and Catalina Sandino Moreno are attached to star in the James Lapine-directed drama Custody. The Into the Woods author also penned the film’s script, which follows a judge (Davis) who presides over a custody battle involving Moreno’s character, who is desperately trying to retain custody of her children. The case ends up taking an emotional toll on Davis’ character. The film does not have an official start date. But Davis currently has filming commitments to Warner Bros.’ Suicide Squad, which begins production next month.
