Note: also known as Noble Sissle and Band in “That’s the Spirit”. I think that Edward “Jelly” Coles is the same person as Nat King Cole’s brother Eddie Cole. The only reference I found to an Edward Coles led to Nat and Eddie’s father. Eddie left the s off his name like his older brother. The All Music biography on Eddie Cole says he played for Noble Sissie’s Sizzling Syncopaters. For some reason, F.E. Miller appears in blackface in this movie.
