Synopsis: The kinetic action thriller follows Zee, a mysterious and infamous assassin known, and feared, in the Parisian underworld as the Queen of the Dead. But when, during an assignment from her shadowy mentor and handler, Zee refuses to kill a blinded young woman in a Paris nightclub, the decision will disintegrate Zee’s alliances, attract the attention of a savvy police investigator and plunge her into a sinister criminal conspiracy that will set her on a collision course with her own past.
Release Date: August 23, 2024 (USA) | Length: 126 min | Genre: Action | MPAA Rating: Rated R for strong/bloody violence and language. | Note(s): Fast-tracked by Universal with Lupita Nyong’o starring. John Woo announced that this film is moving forward but without Lupita Nyong’o because of scheduling conflicts. I’m moving the post to “Never Made” until it is recast. Guess what? The film was recast with two of my favorite actors! I wasn’t able to identify Kévin Table. IMDB cast list says he plays the Private Room DJ. Even though a DJ is mentioned in the film, I never saw them. I found a dancer by the same name but didn’t find info that links him to this film.
